Yes, like Rodney Dangerfield, I’m back to school. When you’re an IT guy, school never really ends. It doesn’t matter if you get a degree in computer science and have a 4.0 GPA – In about 10 years, much of what you’ve learned will be outdated.
I should have my Cisco certification in just over a year. Cisco is the leading supplier of higher end routers, switches and firewalls.
Although most people don’t have to retrain every few years, I think continuing education is a good idea for everyone. Learning on the job and going back to school. Think of it as “continuous improvement” for your brain!
